Montfort Hr. Sec. School Garratola, Th. Birsa, Dist. Balaghat, is continuously progressive in last 24 years. The organization operated with the aim of illuminating the light of education among the children of tribal and extremely backward society , is currently moving towards its silver jubilee.
Establishment
In the year 1998, with the help of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel Society province of Hyderabad under the leadership of Brother Sabastian K.M. in Garratola of the village rented a single room where with two teachers class was started. Initially total 13 students had taken admission with that class 6th and 7th started. On June 5th 2000 the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel Society appointed the first principal in the school as Brother Sajan Antony. Brother Sajan Antony who was a young and hardworking man with strong personality. Who started going in the direction to progress the school from the beginning, under which we first increased the academic staff as well as admission of children.
